Our Underlying Philosophy
If you’re passionate about riding and the Harley-Davidson lifestyle, the Harley-Davidson Club of South Africa is where you truly belong. As a member, you join a proud, family-orientated brotherhood and sisterhood of riders who share your love for the open road and the camaraderie of riding together. As one of the oldest motorcycle clubs in the country—and the oldest Harley-Davidson-based club in South Africa—we welcome partners, children, and families at many of our events, creating a warm and inclusive environment. With organised rides, rallies, safety training, community projects, and strong support, every ride becomes safer, more enjoyable, and more meaningful. Whether you want to meet like-minded riders, involve your family, or be part of a legacy of pride and passion, joining the HDCSA connects you to unforgettable experiences on and off the road.
The early spirit of HDCSA was hands-on: rebuilding engines, painting tanks, and modifying bikes with the knowledge and passion only true enthusiasts possess. The white overalls worn by riders became an unmistakable symbol of pride — a statement that their motorcycles were reliable, clean, and cared for with dedication.
Over the decades, HDCSA has stood at the centre of the country’s Harley-Davidson culture. As the club grew, it became the predecessor and inspiration for many other motorcycle groups nationwide. Today, our twelve chapters carry forward a legacy over five decades strong, honouring the traditions and values established by the original members.
